Organized in coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and İŞKUR (Turkish Employment Agency), and hosted by Bursa Uludağ University, the Marmara Career Fair 2026 (MARMARAKAF’26), one of the most comprehensive career organizations in the region, was held on May 12-13, 2026.
Balıkesir University, one of the stakeholder universities, participated in the fair under the leadership of Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Cevdet Avcıkurt, with the participation of the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and Director of the Career Development Application and Research Center Prof. Dr. Suat Kara, the Director of Edremit Civil Aviation College Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıoğlan, BAÜN KAGEM Deputy Directors Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Yasemin Tekin, Öğr. Gör. Özlem Erdil, Head of Student Affairs Sevim Ayhan, and representatives from relevant units, meeting with students and sector representatives.
The delegation followed current career development initiatives by participating in the activities and events held within the scope of the fair. In addition, students from various departments of Balıkesir University also participated in the fair and benefited from internship and job opportunities, career talks, institutional presentations, and professional development events.
