Balıkesir University is an institution that aims to
produce graduates who can transform academic knowledge into social benefit and
professional success. The Career Development Application and Research Center
(BAÜN KAGEM) was established in 2014 as a unit to carry out activities in line
with this aim of Balıkesir University. The purpose of BAÜN KAGEM is to improve the career
planning and development competencies of Balıkesir University prospective
students, students, alumni, and employees in line with their talents,
knowledge, skills, interests, and desires, as well as the conditions and needs
of Balıkesir University and Turkey, thereby increasing the university's
attractiveness and contributing to the development of the human resources
potential and performance of the university and Turkey. It also aims to assist
internship programs in coordination with academic units, and to contribute to
the development of relevant domestic and foreign organizations and regional
development by transferring the results and accumulated knowledge in this field
to these organizations.
Student-Focused Approach and Personal Development
At BAÜN KAGEM, we offer "Career Counseling"
services to help each of our students and graduates discover their unique
talents. Our center provides guidance across a wide range of areas, including
resume preparation, interview techniques, contract management, career planning,
internships, and job postings. We work in collaboration with our academic units
and enable our students and graduates to combine their theoretical knowledge
with practical experience.
Our educational philosophy prioritizes not only the
professional development but also the personal growth of individuals. For us,
every graduate is a lifelong part of the Balıkesir University family.
