Streets Are Transforming Program Internship Application (Including Recent Graduates)
Streets Are Transforming, a program implemented in collaboration with the Marmara Municipalities Union (MBB) Local Government Academy, Superpool, and the Global Designing Cities Initiative (GDCI), goes beyond being merely an application program focusing on the physical transformation of streets. It is a project planned to be conducted within a data-driven framework that centers on measuring, evaluating, and making visible the impact of these transformations.
Internship applications are open to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students or recent graduates studying (or recently graduated from) City and Regional Planning, Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Transportation Planning, Industrial Design, Sociology, Geography, Statistics, Urban Studies, Data, Software, and related engineering departments, who are interested in data analysis, GIS, and urban mobility.
Required Qualifications
Interns participating in the program are expected to:
- Have an interest in public spaces, streets, cities, and mobility issues,
- Be willing to work in the field, collect data, and work in a team,
- Be able to participate in field applications during the summer,
- Be open to learning, able to take responsibility, and willing to communicate,
- Be flexible in their time and able to adapt to the program schedule.
Opportunities Offered During the Internship
Interns accepted into the program will be offered:
- Free participation in the training program,
- Experience working with municipalities and initiatives,
- Practical experience in data-driven urban design and evaluation,
- Strong field experience for an academic and professional portfolio,
- Certificate of participation/reference at the end of the program,
- Access to financial support at the end of the internship.
