Balıkesir University Launches Qualified Human Resources Initiative for Digital Transformation
The protocol signing ceremony for the “Qualified Human Resources for Digital Transformation: Applied Training and Career Bridge Project,” supported by the South Marmara Development Agency (GMKA), was held. The project, to be implemented by Balıkesir University, was awarded support under the GMKA Human and Social Development Technical Support Program.
At the signing ceremony held at GMKA, the project protocol was signed by Balıkesir University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Satıl and GMKA General Secretary Onur Adıyaman.
The project, coded TR22/26/BSGTD/0004, aims to equip university students with the knowledge and skills to adapt to digital transformation processes, provide applied training in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, and support their career development. The project aims to increase students' employability by enabling them to acquire the digital competencies needed in the labor market.
The project is led by Balıkesir University faculty member Prof. Dr. Suat Kara, while the assistant project leader is Assoc. Prof. The project will be led by Assoc. Prof. Özlem Erdil. Through training and practical work, the project aims to improve students' competencies in the field of digital transformation, contribute to their career planning, and strengthen university-industry collaboration.
This project, which will contribute to Balıkesir University's vision of digital transformation and training qualified human resources, will also support regional development goals and enable young people to prepare more effectively for the future business world.
